DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE: Tankcoating, 160.000 m2 en 90 days

The project ended up consisting of the total rejuvenation of the ballast and cargo tanks, together with another tank (fresh water, fuel...), to increase the lifespace of the construction for at least another 20 years, an area of over 210,000 m2.

The tasks completed were:

• Installation of equipment and pipelines to complete this tank coating
• Logistics of over 250 vehicles
• Over 6,000 metres of cabling
• Provision of scaffolding, 350 tonnes
• Provision and management of abrasive, over 11,000 tonnes
• Assembly and disassembly of scaffolding, 85,000 m3
• Water-jet cleaning of all surfaces
• Grade Sa 2.5 blasting of all surfaces
• Paint application, 3 coats and 3 touch-ups
